The products I work on day to day, and the ones that got me here.
Main projectWorten's gamified platform that motivates store teams and rewards individual and team goals through a transparent bonus system, used daily across Worten stores. I maintain and evolve it end to end with PHP/Laravel and Vue.js. I'm also on the team building the stores' Queue Manager and the internal information hub for Worten employees. The platform won Best Digital Workplace at the Portugal Digital Awards in 2017.
Award winnerReads your electricity bill, explains your consumption and compares what you pay with other energy companies. I led a team of four; the project won Fundação EDP's Escola da Energia competition, and 95% of users in our field test said it could change their energy habits.
Tech lead of an innovation project letting customers place appliances in their own space before buying. Led two frontend developers and moved the project from a native app to Web AR (Next.js, model-viewer, AR Quick Look), so it works straight from the browser.
Automated installer for an HR platform used by clients in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, replacing a manual per-client setup: IIS portal and APIs, SQL Server database, jBPM workflows and Windows services.
Migrated a legacy application architecture to a modern Java back end and Angular front end.
I like owning a product end to end: the data model, the back end, the interface and the details in between. Today that means keeping Winners reliable for store teams across Worten, and helping build the tools they use every day.
I've also led teams when it counted: as tech lead on Worten's Web AR innovation project, and as team leader of GreenTrack, which won Fundação EDP's Escola da Energia competition.
Outside work I'm finishing an MSc in Informatics Engineering at ISEC, researching augmented reality glasses, and I volunteer at a cat rescue association.

Time I give outside work, and what it taught me.
As part of Worten's onboarding programme, I spent a day at AFID, an organisation that supports people with disabilities. Working alongside them in hands-on workshops gave me a first-hand understanding of the everyday barriers they face, something I now keep in mind when building products for everyone.
I welcome people interested in adopting, talk them through the process and help match them with the right cat. I also help keep the shelter clean and running day to day.
Joined a Worten volunteering day at Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome, the Portuguese food bank that collects and distributes food to families in need.
